The What to Expect module enables churches to inform potential visitors about worship, childcare, and other aspects of church life, organized into Topics and Frequently Asked Questions sections on the What to Expect page.
Module Integrations #
- Locations: Allows a single unified What to Expect page or separate pages for each location, if the Locations module is active.
Module Options #
Configure the What to Expect module to control page structure when integrated with Locations.
- Navigate to Church Infinite > Website Settings > Modules > What to Expect in the dashboard.
- If the Locations module is active, configure settings:
- Should there be one “What to Expect” page that applies to the whole church network or a separate section for each individual location?: Choose “One unified page” (default) or “A separate section for each individual location” (required if Locations is active).
- Clone existing What to Expect page content into each Location?: If selecting separate sections and existing content is present, check to copy current content to each location’s section as a starting point (default: enabled).
- Save changes to apply settings across your website.
Content Management #
What to Expect Page #
Description: The What to Expect page provides information for visitors, organized into Topics (e.g., worship, childcare) and Frequently Asked Questions, managed through the page editor. If integrated with Locations and separate sections are enabled, each location’s content is managed individually.
Managing Content:
- Go to Pages > What to Expect in the dashboard. If separate sections are enabled, navigate to each location’s What to Expect section via Locations > [Location Name] > What to Expect.
- Edit the page content in the What to Expect section:
- Topics: Manage sections describing the church experience:
- Click “Add Topic” to create a new topic.
- For each topic:
- Title: Enter a title (e.g., “Our Worship”, required).
- Link: Optionally add a URL (e.g., to a related page or anchor like “#worship”).
- Content: Describe the topic (e.g., worship style, required).
- Image: Optionally upload a landscape image (e.g., 800x400px) to enhance the topic.
- Frequently Asked Questions: Manage common visitor questions:
- Click “Add Question” to create a new FAQ.
- For each FAQ:
- Question: Enter the question (e.g., “What is communion like?”, required).
- Link: Optionally add a URL (e.g., to a related page or anchor).
- Answer: Provide the answer (required).
- Topics: Manage sections describing the church experience:
- Click “Update” to save changes and display the content on the “What to Expect” page under About, or on location-specific sections if separate pages are enabled.
Content Details: Enhance the page with:
- Topics: Use clear titles and images to describe key aspects like worship or childcare.
- FAQs: Address visitor concerns with concise, informative answers.
- Links: Add URLs to guide visitors to related content or resources.
