Description #

The Testimonies module enables churches to share personal testimony stories from members, highlighting faith experiences to inspire and encourage the community.

Module Options #

Customize the Testimonies module to control terminology and default imagery.

1. Navigate to Church Infinite > Website Settings > Modules > Testimonies or Testimonies > Options in the dashboard.
2. Configure settings:
   • Alternate Terms: Rename Testimonies/Testimony (e.g., to Stories/Story). Changes update menus, page titles, links, and other elements instantly.
   • Default Featured Image for Testimonies: Upload a default image (e.g., 800x400px) to display for testimonies without a specific featured image.
3. Save changes to apply settings across your website.

Content Management #

Testimonies #

Description: Testimonies are individual stories shared by church members, detailing personal faith experiences, organized by categories.

Adding:

1. Go to Testimonies > Add New in the dashboard.
2. Enter a title (e.g., “Jane’s Journey to Faith”) and story content for the testimony.
3. In the testimony details section:
   • Assign categories (e.g., Salvation) to organize the testimony (add new via Testimonies > Categories).
   • Specify an author (e.g., linked to a member profile).
   • Upload a featured image (e.g., 800x400px) for the testimony listing.
4. Click “Publish” to display the testimony on the “Testimonies” page under Resources.

Editing:

1. Go to Testimonies > All Testimonies.
2. Hover over the testimony and click “Edit”.
3. Update the title, story, categories, author, or featured image.
4. Click “Update” to save changes.

Deleting:

1. Go to Testimonies > All Testimonies.
2. Hover over the testimony and click “Trash”.
3. To permanently delete, go to Testimonies > Trash, hover, and click “Delete Permanently”.
4. Note: Deleted testimonies cannot be recovered unless restored from a backup.

Testimony Details: Enhance testimonies with:

• Featured Image: Add a high-quality image for visual appeal.
• Author Link: Connect to a member profile for context.
• Categories: Organize stories for easy filtering.

Categories #

Description: Categories organize testimonies by theme or type (e.g., Salvation, Healing).

Adding:

1. Go to Testimonies > Categories.
2. Click “Add New Category”.
3. Enter the category name (e.g., “Salvation”).
4. Save to add.

Editing:

1. Go to Testimonies > Categories.
2. Hover over the category and click “Edit”.
3. Update the name.
4. Save changes.

Deleting:

1. Go to Testimonies > Categories.
2. Hover over the category and click “Delete”.
3. Confirm deletion.
4. Note: Deleting a category removes it from associated testimonies, but testimonies remain published.

Category Organization: Organize testimonies effectively:

• Use categories to group similar stories (e.g., “Miracles”).
• Assign multiple categories to a testimony for broader organization.
