The Giving module provides a customized donation system, allowing churches to collect donations for various purposes.
Module Integrations #
- Locations: Links donation forms to specific campuses for targeted giving.
- Ministries: Supports donations for ministry-specific initiatives.
- Missions: Funds missionary work through dedicated donation forms.
- Sermons: Supports guest speakers or sermon-related initiatives.
- Staff: Connects donations to staff-led projects or campaigns.
- People: Links individual giving campaigns to member profiles.
- Podcasts: Supports podcast production through donations.
- Prayer: Funds prayer campaigns or related activities.
- Testimonies: Supports testimony-related causes or events.
- What to Expect: Encourages visitor giving through accessible forms.
- Recommendations: Links recommended giving opportunities for promotion.
Module Options #
Customize the Giving module to control donation form settings.
- Navigate to Church Infinite > Website Settings > Modules > Giving or Giving > Options in the dashboard.
- Configure settings, such as:
- Default Donation Amounts: Set suggested amounts (e.g., $10, $50).
- Form Display: Choose layout options (e.g., single-page or multi-step).
- Save changes to apply settings across your website.
Content Management #
Donation Forms #
Description: Donation Forms are customizable forms for collecting contributions, tailored to specific causes or campaigns.
Adding:
- Go to Giving > Add Form in the dashboard.
- Enter a title for the form (e.g., “General Fund Donation”).
- Configure form settings:
- Donation Amounts: Set fixed or custom amounts (e.g., $25, $100, or open field).
- Linked To: Connect the form to a specific cause:
- Organization (e.g., church general fund).
- Guest Speaker (from Sermons module).
- Missionary (from Missions module).
- Staff member (from Staff module).
- Location (from Locations module).
- Ministry (from Ministries module).
- Description: Add a brief description of the form’s purpose.
- Fields: Customize fields (e.g., name, email, payment method).
- Click “Publish” to display the form on the “Giving” page or embed it on other pages.
Editing:
- Go to Giving > All Forms.
- Hover over the form and click “Edit”.
- Update the title, amounts, linked cause, description, or fields.
- Click “Update” to save changes.
Deleting:
- Go to Giving > All Forms.
- Hover over the form and click “Trash”.
- To permanently delete, go to Giving > Trash, hover, and click “Delete Permanently”.
- Note: Deleted forms cannot be recovered unless restored from a backup, and past donations are unaffected.
Form Options: Enhance donation forms with:
- Linked Causes: Tie forms to specific campaigns (e.g., “Youth Ministry Fund”).
- Custom Fields: Add fields for donor information (e.g., comments).
- Payment Methods: Support options like credit card or PayPal, configured via GiveWP integration.
