The Creating Your Church Website guide helps church administrators set up their billing account and create their church’s website after purchasing a Church Infinite website plan.

Follow these steps to set up your billing account and create your church’s website:

Step 1: Set Up Billing Account #

  1. After purchasing a plan at https://churchinfinite.com/checkout/, check your email for:
    • An order confirmation email.
    • A Church Infinite account created email with links to:
      • Set a new password.
      • Log in to “My Account” at https://churchinfinite.com/my-account/.
  2. Click the password setup link, enter and confirm a new password, and click “Save” to activate your billing account.
  3. You’ll be logged in and redirected to the My Account Dashboard.

Step 2: Create Your Website #

  1. In the My Account Dashboard (or any subpage: Dashboard, Orders, My Subscriptions, Addresses, Payment Methods, Account Details, Logout), locate the “I’m ready, let’s create the website!” button at the bottom of the page.
  2. Click the button to open the website creation wizard, which includes four steps:
    • Identity:
      • Church Name: Enter your church’s full name.
      • Website Subdomain: Enter a URL-friendly subdomain (e.g., “perth-bible-church” or “pbc” for Perth Bible Church). The system ensures it’s unique and formatted correctly.
      • Church Motto: Enter a short motto or slogan.

      Step 1

    • Design:
      • Website Design: Select the available design option (currently one choice).
      • Logo (Main Version): Upload your primary logo.
      • Logo (White Version): Upload a white version of your logo.
      • Site Icon: Upload a favicon or site icon.
      • Primary Color: Choose a primary color for your website’s branding.
      • Secondary Color: Choose a secondary color for branding.

      Step 2

    • Functionality:
      • Bible Version: Select a Bible version from a dropdown menu (matching those available at https://www.biblegateway.com) for website Bible verses.
      • Modules: Check the boxes for modules you want to activate, styled as individual buttons, based on your purchased plan (e.g., Starter includes Articles, What to Expect; Pro includes all modules).

      Step 3

    • Finish:
      • Click “Create website!” to save your selections and start the creation process.

      Step 4

  3. Wait for the process indicator to complete, indicating the website is being built.
  4. Once complete, choose from two options:
    • Manage Website: Go to https://{your-subdomain}.churchinfinite.com/wp-admin/ to manage the site’s back end.
    • View Website: Go to https://{your-subdomain}.churchinfinite.com/ to view the front end.
  5. Alternatively, access your website anytime by hovering over your name in the upper-right header bar and selecting your church’s site from the dropdown menu (also includes My Account and Logout links).

Troubleshooting #

Resolve common website creation issues:

  • Unable to Log In to Billing Account: Use billing account credentials at https://churchinfinite.com/my-account/, not website management credentials. Reset your password or contact support@churchinfinite.com.
  • Subdomain Unavailable: If your chosen subdomain is taken, the system suggests a unique alternative (e.g., pbc-1). Try a different name or abbreviation.
  • Website Not Created: Confirm all creation steps were completed. Check My Account for website status or contact support.
