Repeatable Events
Save resources by adding repeated events just once. Repetitions can be added as specific dates or according to patterns. Patterns can be as simple as “weekly on Monday” or as nuanced as “10:02 AM on the 2nd Thursday of every other month” and anywhere in between.
Exceptions
Exceptions may be added to repeated events to keep them live and their patterns intact, but still allow for flexibility (e.g. the weekly Bible study falling on Christmas day). They can come in the form of changed dates/times or cancellations. These exceptions are then automatically displayed prominently on the website, so nobody is left confused in an empty parking lot.
In-Person and/or Virtual
Though we have returned to “precedented” times and in-person meetings are commonplace again, more people have become accustomed to the convenience of meeting online than ever before. To accommodate this trend, Events has the functionality built-in to specify a physical and/or virtual event settings.
Reusable Venues
Keeping with the philosophy of never having to enter the same information twice, both physical and online venues as well as all their relevant details can be saved for use with multiple events.
Physical venues’ details include name, description, address, website, phone number, and photo. Church locations can be listed as event meeting places, in which case individual rooms can be saved and specified.
Online details include name, description, platform (e.g. Zoom, Facebook, etc.), URL, password, and text for other details. The specific access details can be optionally displayed publicly always, a certain period of time prior to the event’s start, or never – perhaps to be provided privately by email.
Multiple Views
Some are list people and some prefer to see what the month or week looks like at a glance. Whatever the preference, we’ve got you covered.
Filters
Filters are a great way to both keep events organized on the back end and sort through them on the front end.
Members of a particular church location often are most interested in seeing those events near them, while others prefer to search based on certain formats, activities, or ministries.
Export
Events was built keeping in mind those who rely on their calendar to keep their lives organized. Each event can be exported either directly into Google Calendar or in iCal format, which can then be imported into most any of the calendar platforms including Apple Calendar, Outlook, etc.
